Final Blog

Blogging for me was hard. I ahd found myself trying to find time to get it done. For the first week I had trouble trying to even make time to write them, with the holiday and taking two courses this summer. I can tell you that I have learnd a great deal with blogging. Not only does it help me write more fluently, it also helped me get out my thoughts and feelings. Blogging was a new experiance for me and I didn't think I would like it, but I actually did! Thanks Ms. A for the lesson.

Well the heat is still extremely miserable.  I have went swimming again to help deal with the heat.  I have also been spending a lot of time indoors.  I really wish it wasn’t all on homework but the semester is almost at the end.  I guess a week or so more will not be that bad.  We have had temperatures in the upper 90s and by the end of the week they are going to be in the lower 90s…  One would think that isn’t a big change but the weather man acts like it is. It may be a huge change for homeless people or people that work in the heat.  To me though it doesn’t make a big change. I still can’t really enjoy the outdoors without working up a sweat just sitting in my back yard.  I think the kids are even tired of it.  They love to be outside but they are spending more and more time inside.  I am ready for a little bit of rain and a little cooler temperatures.  We will see when I will get them. The forecast doesn’t show it for the next week.

These blogs are becoming extremely hard!  Thinking of something to write about is getting harder and harder each day.  I have wrote about the weather, my marriage, my brother’s marriage, my kids.  All of the items that I think about or that mean something to me.  The class isn’t overly hard except these blogs.  Grant it, they are easier points to get but how does one think of what to say? I am glad I never set up a blog like I thought about doing in the past.  I would have never kept up with it.  Unless everyday something exciting happened, I would be lost for words.  I wonder how many of my peers struggle with coming up with stuff to write about.

Today I spent the day with family.  My wife and kids went to Silver Dollar City with her family and I.  It has became a tradition to go every year with her family.  She has nephews that live out of state and always come down and spend a week of their summer with us and we take them to Silver Dollar City.  It was so hot though the day was almost miserable.  Thank god we choose to go on a Sunday.  It would have been packed any other day. The rides were fun and the kids had a blast.  I think overall the best part of this adventure was riding PowderKeg with my daughter.  It is one of the most thrilling roller coasters there if not the most!  She was upset because she wasn’t able to ride a different roller coaster because she wasn’t tall enough.  She road this one twice! She was very brave and I was so happy for her

Well my youngest brother got married today.  It was a very hectic morning.  I was doing the music and my wife was taking pictures.  On top of that we had three kids to get ready for it.  So needless to say I am officially wore out!  It was a cute little place in the country where my brother and sister-in-law got married.  The lady has had the place for about 10-12 years and nature has really grown up around it and makes it look awesome.  There was a waterfall, bridges, the outside ceremony!  It was a very magical place.  There were a lot of memories made today.  Just looking through pictures amazes me.  Everyone got along! I know that may sound silly to bring up but sometimes it is hard to get everyone to just get along.  Now, my brother and new sister-in-law  are going to come over and spend some time with me.  We are going to have a nice relaxing night.

Kids are so amazing.  They can be a huge pain, but at the end of the day they are a ball of joy filled with love.  In the mornings there are times I wished I had as much energy as they did.  They will be talking non-stop and running circles around me at 6 o’clock in the morning.  That early in the morning I am still trying to figure out how to get coffee in my cup.  Once I have my coffee I get a little bit of energy but nothing compared to children.  At this time the children are now bouncing off walls, screaming, and fighting with each other.  Time for a second cup of coffee.  Now, it is lunch time.  They are hungry and as they grow older they eat and eat and eat!  By this time of the day I am ready to take a nap.  However, they just got more energy from their food.  So, here we go again it starts all over just like 6 in the morning.  It can be rough at times but I would not change anything.  I enjoy having my kids with me everyday.  Especially at their ages they are so adorable with their sayings and actions.

Today I picked my grandma up from the airport.  The look on the children’s faces was amazing.  They were so excited.  My grandma was super excited too.  She was excited that my family picked her up and she got to meet my youngest child.  He is three and every time she visited I wasn’t able to get him.  It was an amazing experience, I hope the kids will remember it forever.  After we picked her up we all went and enjoyed a lovely dinner before taking her to my parent’s house.  I sure wasn’t ready to leave but I am excited she is here for a couple months.   Besides that going on, today I got my yard cleaned up and my wife was able to go apply for her new social security card. Overall, it was a busy and productive day with a wonderful ending.

My children got a welcoming surprise today.  They recently mailed letters to their great grandma and they got letters back today.  They were just in time.  She is coming to visit from California tomorrow.  I get to take all my kids including my youngest (which she hasn’t met yet) to pick her up from the airport.  It will be awesome!  The kids are so excited they got the letter and they get to see her tomorrow.  She is coming in for my youngest brothers wedding and actually will be spending a couple months here so the kids will get to spend a lot of time with her.  She is going to be spending some time with my parents but also staying some with us.  I can’t wait for her to be here.  She also gets to see both my new house and my parent’s new house.  I wonder if she is excited as I am?

The heat is almost unbearable the last couple of days. Temperatures over 100 is too much.  My kids don’t want to play outside, the dog doesn’t want to go outside, which in turn means one hectic house.  The weather has caused one confirmed heat death and two more that are suspected of dying because of the heat.  I have heard multiple cases where pets and people are getting  sick because of the heat.  Thank goodness they are calling for a little cooler weather even if it is just for a couple days.  Everyone being cooped up in the house makes it very hard for me to focus and get my work completed.  I am also hoping that everyone stays healthy and finds a way to stay cool during this weather.  There are still too many households with out air conditioners that people are staying in.   It is summer time though, maybe air conditioners have spoiled us and no one knows what to do without them.

This weekend was very eventful for me. Long story short my fiancĂ©e said she didn’t have to buy me a fishing pole because she was not my wife, on Friday night. Therefore, I said lets get married. We woke up early Saturday, went, and married the love of my life. It took 2 hours to get to the place we got married and then 6 hours back to find a place to swim. I was supposed to go fishing and the kids were supposed to be able to swim. However, because of the flooding most places were closed. Which lead us to a creek and there was fish there but they would not have done any good. They were not big enough to keep and eat. Therefore, I ended up swimming also. It was a blast. Sunday we did not do a whole lot. It was more of a day of rest. Today however was extremely fun.  I took the kids back to the creek and they had a blast. I threw my youngest up and let him splash down into the water. He absolutely loved it; he kept saying “Again, Daddy!” I would hold up one finger and tell him one more and he would hold up all of his and say, “Okay one more”. My older children were jumping off a tree into the water. The first time they did it they had arm floats’ on and then they got braver and did it with out. After a long day at the creek (almost 8 hours), we came home for dinner. The only bad thing about today is I forgot a lot of stuff when I left for the creek, main one being sunscreen. I am burnt and red like a lobster! The creek was fun but the sunburn is not!
